Of all the places I've been and all the things I've seen like T-Shirts and gift stores with sayings on plates and mugs and such , one of my Favorite sayings is " IF YOU GIVE A MAN A FISH HE EATS FOR A DAY, IF YOU TEACH A MAN HOW TO FISH HE EATS FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. " basically saying, The Lord ( or tadpole or whatever false idol you worship ) helps those who help themselves. It is better to teach someone how to do something than to do it for them. Giving someone a fish is good for the short term, but it is better to teach them how to do it so that in the long term they can take care of themselves. We are so fortunate as a species to change our predicament , our Lot , our circumstances given the need or desire to. That's why I say here's your pole? A pole that might work better than the one your using now or just to use for special circumstances. I don't know about you, but, me / I..... " I Must Have Got Lost " somewhere down the line, to quote The J Geils Bands song. I grew up during the days of the songs and lyrics like Alvin Lee and Ten Years After " I'd Love to Change the World ", Rare Earth " I Just Want to Celebrate " , The Animals "Please don't let me be misunderstood ", Rolling Stones " What a drag it is Getting Old", ( frankly it Sucks ) Classics, Basically all the Time Life Greatest Hits ALBUM'S. Infomercial material now. Motown, the British Invasion Rock, Disco Pop, Alternative, Jazz and Soul to the Blues Country ,Gospel , Hip Hop , Classical and Reggae. Except for some of the music out there, most songs and musicians have attempted to give us a side , a version of a tale or story. Win or lose, Gain or loss, Good or Bad, Love or Loss of Love, all designed to make us think . Think of thing's Imaginable or unimaginable. Life or Death, Strife and Struggle from the Trivial to the Traumatic.
Actors have been acting since the beginning of time . As the mass population has developed and evolved with the ability to tell a story and have millions of people hear or see a story you tell ; live or Shared in Real time or saved or archived in the Cloud , somewhere. You should be telling your story, running down your dream, smelling the roses and the bud along the way. ACT AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. PRAY AS IF IT DEPENDS ON GOD. Help bring more people closer to their faith through unity and a purpose driven experience. Teaching people to become more self-sufficient financially according to their own ability and opportunity. So many of us aren't the" A "personality type, the one voted most likely to succeed, the #1 Sales board leader, the one using our scholarship in the field of study we actually went to University for. A lot of people, you'd be surprised to know are most likely " B " type Personalities. " C " Average students. Ever heard ( " The A student ends up teaching, the B student ends up working for the C students"), probably on their 4th, 5th or 10th career , 2nd marriage. Little or no retirement. More than a 50% chance of NOT being able to come up with $1000.00 for an emergency. Most often a Medical Bankruptcy and / or a police record. A Lot of people are Apprehensive, Apathetic or somewhat Ambivalent about their Future.
THAT'S WHY I WANTED TO DO THIS LITTLE SITE TO LET THE MISFITS LIKE ME KNOW THERE IS A SYSTEM.

I don't want to assume to much because I don't know who knows what and I may sound a little ranty or redundant. I believe we have to have a REASON to get up in the morning and not just to eat. Some call it a Dream, some call it a Goal while some refer to it as a Carrot. We gotta go earn a living so we can eat. And having a place to eat it in is also something we require. I'm not all touchy feely so I'm not going to do the "YOU GOTTA HAVE A DREAM" speech, Sorry. IF someone reading this had a Dream years ago , it's probably been beaten out of them little by little by now. You may be someone that has a BIG REASON to get ahead a little quicker or a little smarter. Right. The farther one gets into the 40/40/40 plan , { 40 hours a week -40 years of your life-- retire on 40% of your income. } the more one looks at alternative ways to leverage your income. Part time jobs , investments { stocks , bonds, 401 's , mutual funds , land etc,,, }, Business on the side, EBay , Reseller on Amazon, MLM's , Network Marketing, Hot dog stands, Handy Man work , Dog / Baby sitting , UBER driver to AirBNB. Amazing the things we do for a Buck . 1 Timothy 6: 10 says " The Love Of Money is the Root of Evil " but " The Lack of Money is the Root of All Problems " 2 Opinions 1 : 1. Thought you needed a little humor by now.

Perhaps the person reading this site is a little or maybe even more like me that feels like you have, some kind of unfinished business but realize it gets harder to " hump it " the older we become. There is an Olde Dutch saying that goes , "We get old to soon and wise to late ", how true.
It might be that some feel like they know more of what they don't want. RIGHT ! Like not worrying about the Mortgage or Rent. Not sweating the Credit Card payment ( The Sweat It Card ). Not being able to pay the car/truck repair bill/payment. Not having to pay more for heath care { the Unaffordable Care Act }. Not putting enough away for retirement. Not lowering their lifestyle to get by. Not having children take care of them in the later years. Not being independent any longer. Not being able to help the kids / grand kids financially. Some people get motivated by going to BankRate.com retirement calculator. SCARY. Maybe opening our statements that look good now but knowing 2-3% return isn't gonna cut it the long run. Having to Root for the Social Security to be around and solvent when you need it might be a losing bet. The SS was only meant to supplement a retiree not to be a retirement income. All I'm saying about the Gov't. You know what they say, " If Your Not Pi*sed Off Its Cause Your Not paying Attention ".. To those paying attention,, Good luck and God Bless. To those not paying attention,, Good Luck .. BE PREPARED !!!!!! I Don't know what will make a person do a little extra to get a LOT MORE ! Being short term ambitious to be long term Lazy takes some faith. Having to believe what your doing is worthwhile and worthy of your time . You may ask yourself "How did I get here ", couldn't resist , The Talking Heads " Once In A Lifetime " , cool song. Time waits for no man, Maybe you thought by now it would have been different had only a few of the pieces of Life's puzzle fallen another way. Be serious, are you living the Life YOU WANT ? - Does your current career provide a high probability of attaining your Income Goals? - Do you feel like your on the road to success ? - Are you providing for your family at a level they need to be financially SECURE ? With and Without you ! - If you were unable to work for any reason would your lifestyle change ? - Are you making a difference in others lives ? - Are you honestly preparing for a successful retirement? - Are you living in the home you've dreamed of ? - Do you take a Dream Vacation when you want? - Are you driving the car of your Dreams ? - Are you tired , rundown, listless ? - Do you pop out at parties ? - Are you un-poopular ? Then you may need some VITAMEATAVEGAMIN.!!! Ya , I know , to easy had to do it. If you haven't seen that episode of " I Love Lucy " you gotta search it. LOL. !! All I'm trying to get across is that you should diversify. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. I'f you Love what you do and get Paid what you want then Congrats . Your in a very small demographic . According to Success Magazine 83% of workers would rather be doing something other than their current occupation. . |
Have you ever been punished for something you didn't do? Heck , it could be happening to you now. Maybe things just aren't working out the way you planned. Maybe they are . Perhaps having more choices would be nice. "Choice not Chance determines Destiny". That whole "People don't plan to fail, they just fail to plan." According to a recent BankRate.com survey , 53% of Americans can't afford a $500.00 car repair or a $1000.00 emergency room visit. FACTOID; Half of people over 50 say they won't be able to survive in retirement. It's harder and harder to save for a rainy day when everyday life gets in the way. It's not just a matter of failing to plan its a matter trying to get by. If you have cut out dining out, cut your cable bill, lowered cell phone bill , and cut back on Starbucks and alcohol what's left. Surveys show most people are apprehensive toward the future. Not knowing what mandate could be implemented next.
OXYMORON ALERT, Affordable Health Care and Taxes and what Right or liberty will be stripped away by our LEADERS . Remember the phrase. Y.U.P.P..I. E, ( Young Upwardly-Mobile Professional.) The ability to go from one job to the next with more money and prestige . Those days have dwindled to a select few. The whole " who you know " Thing, Connections your have, Networking events, planned or unplanned meetings, the people we meet along the way.
